Save Jesus Returns to Google Play
May 6, 2026
After an extended absence, I'm happy to announce that Save Jesus is once again available on Google Play.
Originally released on Steam in 2016, Save Jesus challenged players to solve physics-based puzzles by guiding traps and obstacles through increasingly difficult levels. The game later made its way to mobile devices in 2019, allowing players to enjoy the experience on the go.
While the game remained available for several years, changes to mobile platform requirements eventually created compatibility issues that could no longer be ignored. As software development kits, advertising services, and platform requirements evolved, Save Jesus gradually fell behind modern standards and was ultimately removed from Google Play.
Bringing Save Jesus Back Online
Over the past several weeks, I've worked to update the systems required to bring Save Jesus back to modern Android devices. The process involved updating platform support, restoring compatibility with current Google Play requirements, and ensuring that the game once again functions properly for both new and returning players. While these updates may not be immediately visible during gameplay, they were necessary to preserve the game and make it available to a new generation of mobile players.
A Familiar Puzzle Experience
Players familiar with the original Steam release will feel right at home. The core gameplay remains largely unchanged. Each level presents a unique puzzle where players must use physics, timing, and strategy to overcome obstacles and complete objectives. Success often requires experimentation, creative thinking, and a willingness to try different approaches. Some levels can be solved quickly, while others may challenge players to rethink their strategy several times before finding the correct solution. The puzzle design that defined the original release remains intact, preserving the experience that players have enjoyed for years.
Improvements and Mobile Optimizations
Although the gameplay itself remains familiar, the mobile version has benefited from several improvements over time. Updates released during previous development cycles introduced optimizations and refinements that helped improve the overall experience on mobile devices.
As a result, I personally believe the current mobile version is now the best version of Save Jesus available. While the Steam edition remains the original release, the Android version has benefited from years of adjustments, improvements, and lessons learned since the game's initial launch.
Optional Assistance When You Get Stuck
One addition that players may notice is the updated advertising system. Rather than interrupting gameplay with mandatory advertisements, Save Jesus only presents an optional ad-supported feature when players become stuck on a difficult level. If a particular challenge proves frustrating, players can choose to watch an advertisement and bypass the level. Those who prefer to complete every puzzle on their own can simply ignore the option and continue playing normally. The goal is to provide assistance when needed without disrupting the overall gameplay experience.
Looking Ahead
Bringing Save Jesus back online is an important step in preserving one of my older projects and ensuring that it remains available to players who want to experience it for the first time. Although the game originally launched many years ago, I'm pleased to see it available once again and functioning on modern Android devices.
For returning players, welcome back. For new players, I hope you'll enjoy discovering the puzzles, challenges, and physics-based gameplay that helped make Save Jesus one of the earliest titles in the Almighty Games catalog.
