The Key is used to unlock locked doors found inside dungeons. Keys only work on doors, never on chests (see Lockpick if you need to open a chest). Each locked door in a dungeon has a matching key hidden somewhere within that same dungeon. A good rule of thumb is that the key is usually placed in the previous room before the locked door, making it easier to backtrack and find it.

Keys emit a faint golden glow, helping you spot them even in dark corners. If you are struggling to locate one, a Map can reveal its exact position along with all chests on that dungeon floor.
