The Map is one of the most prized documents in Act I. Valued at 10 silver, using a map clears the fog of war from the current dungeon floor, showing all chest locations, hidden keys, the start and exit rooms, and even your path of explored vs. unexplored areas.
In Act I, maps are rare finds in dungeons and only occasionally appear in merchant inventories, making them highly sought after by treasure hunters. In Act II, their value grows even further — a special trader will accept a full stack of maps in exchange for marking a beacon that leads to a hidden treasure chest filled exclusively with high-value loot.
