About Hail To The King
Hail To The King is a strategic puzzle challenge developed by Almighty Games that blends the structure of chess with the tension of a minesweeper style deduction system. At first glance, the board appears familiar, but every tile hides uncertainty.
Players move pieces across a danger filled chessboard in search of a single safe path for the King. When a piece steps onto a compromised tile, the board collapses beneath it and the piece falls into a pit below. What might feel like a mistake is actually part of the intended mechanic: players are testing the board to discover which spaces are safe.
Memory becomes the most powerful tool in the game. Every failed attempt reveals information about the layout, forcing players to remember which tiles held firm and which gave way. Progress depends on careful observation, deduction, and the ability to mentally map the board across multiple attempts.
The objective is simple: guide the King safely from one side of the board to the other. If the King falls, the level resets. If the King survives the crossing, the level is complete and a new, more deceptive challenge begins.
