The Spiked Club is the stronger of the two starter weapons. It is fitted with iron spikes that allow it to deal slightly more damage than the plain club. Any adventurer who has the choice between the two would be wise to pick the spiked version.
Though still weak compared to later weapons, the spiked club is a serviceable tool for surviving the early rooms of the intro dungeon.
